White Elephant Gift Auction and Monthly Meeting

Bring at least 1 (or more) of the holiday gifts you wish you hadn't received or would love to re-gift. Remember... Everyone's junk is someone else's treasure. Make sure to bring the items unwrapped so we can see what we're buying. Prices on each item will start at $2. All funds raised will be donated to NA'AMAT USA. Ameinu Annual Winter Seminar
Sunday, February 12 from 10AM-3PM. Institute of Jewish Education
Morning session discusses The Big Upheaval: Israel's changing political landscape. The afternoon session discusses Resolving Long Neglected Social and Economic Issues. Cost is $20 per person for members of NA'AMAT and $25 for non members. Cost includes program, materials and a kosher lunch and is payable to Ameinu no later than February 6, 2006. An Evening of Wine Tasting
Saturday, February 25 @ 7:30 in Northridge
Save the date and invite your friends. Join us for an evening of wine tasting with a local expert on Kosher wines. Dennis Bookbinder will discuss briefly what makes wines kosher, where the best wines come frome, and share some of his expert recommendations. Following, he will be available to answer questions while we eat drink and catch up. Cost will be $15 per person and $25 for couples.


Luncheon Prep and Monthly Meeting

Tikvah has been enlisted to pull together the Silent Auction for the Council's annual Luncheon. No worries, We will have plenty of council from ladies who have been handling this for years. Erin and I have been attending the monthly meeting and will find out everything we need to know. Since our meeting falls right before the luncheon, we'll try our best ot coordinate getting much of our portion together to work on this night.

San Fernando Valley Council Luncheon
Sunday, March 26 @ 10:00 AM at the Universal Sheraton
$65 per person. Luncheon includes an extensive silent auction with items ranging from weekend getaways to fine Jewelry to spa treatments. We were also lucky to book an amazing 25 member choir. Come early to shop at the jewelry and gift boutique featuring close to 25 vendors.

Please note... This year our chapter has been enlisted to help prepare the silent auction. We'll have a tutorial meeting in February to go through the steps of what to do and we'll have plenty of help. Please make it you're NA'AMAT New Years resolution to volunteer for this. Tikvah Chapter Spring Yard Sale
Sunday, April 16 @ 8am-1pm in Granada Hills
Please set aside items for the yard sale and plan to come at least 30 minutes early to help set up. Tables and tarps will be available. At 12:30 we'll pack it up and take the leftovers to Goodwill.

Chocolate Decadence and Monthly Meeting
Wednesday, April 26 @ 7:30. Location TBD
It's a Chocolate potluck! Bring your favorite chocolate candy, cake, ice cream, pie....Be creative! This is a free event and a great opportunity to bring potential new members to come and learn more about NA'AMAT. Chocolate-themed door prizes will be awarded as well. Let's eat and be merry! Then stay for our monthly meeting and 50/50 raffle.
