Note to Tikvah members: Please talk to Sandi if you can help at any time this weekend. We need all the help we can get. We'll start off at 9AM at Barbara Elman's (Tarzana) to collect all of our donations. We'll then take them over to Robyn's in Studio City to start prepping baskets and bid sheets. Whatever we don't finish Saturday, we'll have to finish Sunday. Please plan on helping even if you can't make it to the luncheon. You'r help is much needed and very much appreciated. Israeli Festival: Celebrating Israel's 61st Independence Day
Sunday, May 3, 2009, 10AM-7PM, Woodley Park.
Cost: $10 per person. Parking is free.
The Festival includes: non-stop entertainment, fashion show, carnival rides, 250 booths of vendors and Jewish/Israeli organizations, a variety of ethnic food for sale, Israeli folk dancing, arts and crafts, Israeli and Jewish cultural & heritage pavilions, Israeli art exhibit, and an official 60th Independence Day ceremony attended by many local, state and federal governments dignitaries. If you attend, please come vist the NA'AMAT Western Area Booth to say hi and show your support. If you know of ayone who might be interested in NA'AMAT please let them know to stop by the booth for more information.
